These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Everyday AI Academy ("we," "us," or "our"), a brand operated by JL Ventures Group, LLC (owned by Jake Litchfield) and based in Lehi, Utah. They apply to your use of everydayacademy.ai, our workshops, and our paid courses (together, the "Services"). By using the Services or buying a course, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
1. Who can use the Services
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a course. By using the Services you confirm the information you give us is accurate and that you'll keep your account details secure.
2. Workshops and courses
Our workshops are live online sessions you can register for through our calendar; workshop seats are offered at the price shown at registration (currently free) and include the workshop's cheat sheet. Our paid course, "AI at Home," is a four-week live program delivered online, with access to course materials and a private course community. Exact schedules, session times, and content may change, and we may reschedule or substitute a session when needed.
You'll need your own paid AI plan. Our classes work with third-party AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT. One paid subscription, typically around $20 per month, is required and is not included in the course price. You're responsible for the third-party subscription you choose.
3. Prices and payment
Course prices are shown at checkout (currently $199, before any discount or coupon). Payment is a one-time charge processed by our third-party payment processor through our course platform. By purchasing, you authorize that charge. We may change our prices and offers at any time, but a change will not affect a purchase you have already made.
4. Refund policy
We want you to feel good about the class. You can get a full refund by emailing hello@everydayacademy.ai before your cohort's Week 2 live class. After your Week 2 live class begins, the purchase is non-refundable. Refunds are returned to your original payment method.
5. Course materials and intellectual property
All course content, slides, workbooks, recordings, prompts, graphics, and other materials are owned by Everyday AI Academy and protected by intellectual property laws. When you enroll, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the materials for your own learning.
You may not copy, share, resell, publicly post, or redistribute the materials or session recordings, or share your access with others, without our written permission. Session recordings, where provided, stay within the course community.
6. Community and acceptable use
Our course community is meant to be supportive and respectful. You agree not to harass others, post unlawful or harmful content, spam, attempt to access accounts that aren't yours, scrape the Services, or interfere with how they work. We may remove content or suspend access that violates these Terms.
7. Content you post
You keep ownership of what you post in the community, and you're responsible for it. By posting, you give us permission to display it within the Services to run the community. We will only use your name or words in marketing or testimonials with your clear, prior permission.
8. Session recordings and using clips
Our live sessions (both workshops and course classes) are recorded, so members can rewatch them and so we can create short clips for things like social media and ads. By joining a live session, you understand it may be recorded and that your name, voice, image, or chat messages could appear in a recording or in a clip we share publicly.
You can opt out, anytime. If you'd rather not appear, just tell us before a session (email hello@everydayacademy.ai), or simply keep your camera off and use only a first name, and we'll keep you out of anything we publish. Opting out never affects your access to the class.
We'll remind you at the start of each session, and we will always ask for your clear, separate permission before featuring you prominently or using your words as a testimonial (see Section 7). If you appear in something we've already shared and want it removed, email us and we'll take it down from our own channels where we reasonably can.
9. Educational purpose and disclaimers
Our Services are for general education and information only. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, medical, mental-health, or other professional advice, and we are not your advisor or fiduciary. Topics like budgeting, planning, or health are taught as general examples of using AI, not as recommendations for your situation. Always use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional before making important financial, legal, or health decisions.
About AI tools: AI can produce information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Always review and verify anything important before you rely on it. We don't control and aren't responsible for the third-party AI tools we teach, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by their makers.
No guaranteed results. What you get out of the Services depends on you. We don't promise any specific outcome, result, or savings. The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Everyday AI Academy and Jake Litchfield will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any decision you make based on the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $100 if you paid nothing). Some places don't allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Third-party services
The Services rely on third-party platforms, including our course and community platform, payment processor, workshop registration provider, and video-conferencing provider. Your use of those platforms is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies, for which we are not responsible.
12. Referral program
From time to time we offer a referral program for enrolled students. When it is active, you can share your unique referral link. A friend who enrolls through your link and applies the current referral coupon at checkout receives the stated discount (currently $50 off the course). You earn a referral reward (currently $50) for each friend who enrolls through your link and stays enrolled past the refund window described in Section 4.
Referral rewards stay pending until the referred student's refund window has passed. If the referred student cancels or receives a refund during that window, no reward is earned for that referral. Approved rewards are paid by PayPal to the address you provide. Referral rewards may be taxable income; if you earn $600 or more from us in a calendar year, we may be required to collect tax information and issue a 1099.
Referral links are for genuine referrals only. Self-referrals, fake or duplicate accounts, and any fraudulent or abusive use void all rewards. We may change the reward amount, the discount, or the rules, or end the program, at any time; the terms in effect at the time of a referral apply to that referral.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. If you keep using the Services after a change, that means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you have a concern, please email us first, we'll genuinely try to work it out. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you agree to that jurisdiction.
15. Text message (SMS) reminders
When you register for a workshop or a class and provide your mobile phone number, you are opting in to receive text message reminders from Everyday AI Academy about the specific event you signed up for. These reminders include details such as the date, time, and video link, and are typically sent the day before and shortly before the event starts.
Message frequency varies and is typically no more than two messages per event you register for. Message and data rates may apply. You can cancel at any time by replying STOP, after which you will receive no further reminder texts. For help, reply HELP or email hello@everydayacademy.ai. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Your consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. How we handle your phone number is described in our Privacy Policy.
